About Grande's Gems

A Hawaiian Tradition Since 1982.

Guy and Josephine Grande opened the first Grande's Gems in the summer of 1982 on the island of Kauai. Their vision was to carry nature inspired jewelry that the visitors could not find back home. A few months later hurricane Eva hit Kauai and destroyed half of the island and most of the business on Kauai. In the months that followed Guy and Jo sold jewelry out of the trunk of their car to survive. The island rebuilt and Grande's Gems reopened a second time.

Guy and Jo's daughter Tiffany sold jewelry in the store after school to help out, and to learn the family business. Another hurricane, 30 years and six stores later we are still here and are proud to be sharing our very own website. We hope you will enjoy it.
